All projects must be declared in accordance with the form below. When the planning has considered all items and some are described, we can share the knowledge and support each other.

Context

Background & Justification

  • Describe the network surrounding the project.
  • Describe the importance of the project.
  • Describe problems solved through this project.
  • How does the project support the IHTSDO strategy?


Target group

  • Who are the immediate beneficiaries of the project?

 

 

Content

Immediate objectives

  • Please limit immediate objectives to one or two and mention them in the order of priority

Development objective

  • Explain how the achievement of above immediate objectives will ensure consistency, quality assurance, research and development and/or technical issues.

Delivery

  • Make a list of expected deliveries e.g. report, software, modeling.

Success criteria

  • What are the success indicators to be fulfilled on delivery?
  • When are the aims reached?

Methods

  • Describe essential procedure choices.

 

Risks

  • Describe risks that can endanger the process and the result of the project.
  • Indicate how these risks must be handled during the project

 

 

Organisation

Project organization (manning)

  • Who is the project owner, -leader and participants?
  • Identify the need for a steering group and what it should control
  • Identify the need for at reference group and its role
  • What actions are needed to secure involvement from central interested parties?


Communication

  • Identify ways of communication – in the group and to the rest of the IHTSDO.
  • How often should there be communicated and to whom?
  • Address lists to be used when communicating with interested parties.


Interested parties

  • Who are the central interested parties? 
  • Are they internal or external?
  • What are their expectations concerning fulfillment and outcome?
  • Describe actions needed?

 

 

Time, ressources and budget

Plan and milestones

  • Describe activities to secure progress, e.g. kick-off meeting, frequency of reporting or evaluation and deadlines.
  • What is the time frame for each activity.
  • What are the essential milestones in each delivery?
  • Deadlines for presentation for the Committees or the MB.


Resources (hours)

  • Describe the qualifications needed to carry out the activities 
  • Describe the resources needed
  • What are their tasks?
  • Requirements (hours/weeks) of each resource
  • When are these requirements due?


Budget

  • Describe the total budget for the project distributed on deliveries
  • When are expenses due?

 

 

Implementation and operation after the project

Implementation

  • Cost of implementation and operation in time and money.
    Who should implement? What are their tasks and responsibilities?


Operation

  • Who owns the result?
  • What are the requirements to secure acceptability?
  • Describe (early) measures to make sure that the outcome is safely and correctly implemented.
  • How is it secured that the results are deeply rooted?
  • Who is to secure this?
  • What is required to secure the intended use of the outcome?
