2009 Update

Summary of national activities

National investment project 2008-2010 has been stalled due to lack of funding. The activities mainly focused on education and networking with local policy-makers, vendors, IT and clinical staff. National e-health program is being revised and is due to be approved early this year (2010).

 

Implementation plans/use cases/activities

Two pilot implementations using SNOMED CT concepts have been accomplished in the LIS of National Pathology Center: SNOMED CT concepts, corresponding to ICD-O-3, for oncology coding have been integrated in the system. Another subset -- Specimen Unsatisfactory for Evaluation (finding) – has beend introduced for QA purpose. Implementation of the CAP STS e-Cancer Checklists is under consideration. National priorities are being re-evaluated, however, Patient Summary, E-Pharmacy, Patient Safety, Surgical and Laboratory Procedure coding are on the top of the list.

 

 

 

Number of Affiliate licensees and activities

The number of accepted affiliate licenses is 10 issued to individual persons, vendors, universities and medical institutions.
