Iceland
In September 2011 Iceland became an Ordinary Member of IHTSDO, joining a global effort to develop, maintain, and enable the use of SNOMED CT in health systems around the world. In joining IHTSDO, the Directorate of Health in Iceland will make SNOMED CT available throughout Iceland for use in electronic health records, health research, and other applications. Users of the terminology in Iceland will also have access to new resources as they are developed.
