Chief Technical Architect, Chief Terminologist, Chief Quality Officer

EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES WITH IHTSDO – CHIEF TECHNICAL ARCHITECT, CHIEF TERMINOLOGIST, CHIEF QUALITY OFFICER

IHTSDO is pleased to announce that we are proceeding with recruitment to three very important permanent roles: the Chief Technical Architect, Chief Terminologist, and Chief Quality Officer. We are looking for seasoned professionals who will make a vital contribution to the development and use of health terminologies and thus, by extension, to the advancement of health and healthcare around the world. The positions report to the recently appointed Chief Executive, Jennifer Zelmer.

The Chief Technical Architect leads the specification and monitoring of IHTSDO’s technical framework and technology roadmap for the development, maintenance, distribution, and uptake of SNOMED CT and its related standards. S/he will likely have experience in software architecture/ development in the context of international or multi site organisations which are technically complex.

The Chief Terminologist leads the development and continuous improvement of the content of SNOMED CT and its related standards. S/he will likely have a track record in terminology maintenance and production processes with a sound understanding of SNOMED CT.

The Chief Quality Officer leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of IHTSDO’s quality strategy and framework. S/he will have sound knowledge of quality and risk management principles and methodologies.

Ideal candidates are experts in their fields and natural leaders keen to work with partners from around the world, including internationally distributed volunteer contributors and other standards organizations. They will likely have a background in health and/or technology-related areas, as well as the professional credibility to represent IHTSDO internationally and to help to continue to build a sustainable organisation.
